CRSCBL Playoffs Begin on Thursday, July 23

The Cropdusters won the North Division and Regular Season Championship, while the Senators took home the South Division crown. Play-in games for the lower seeds begin Thursday night.

The 2026 Cal Ripken Sr. League Playoff field is set!

Congratulations to the Olney Cropdusters on winning the Regular Season Championship and the North Division title for the first time in franchise history. And, congratulations to the Southern Maryland Senators for capturing their first South Division title. 

The postseason begins with our Play-In Round on Thursday, July 23. The bottom four seeds play in this round, while the top four seeds automatically advance past it.  

 

Seeding and Byes

The top four teams advance past the play-in round. Their first game is listed here. The bottom four seeds face single-elimination play-in contests on Thursday. 

  1. Olney Cropdusters (26-12) - bye until the semifinals begin on Saturday, July 25
  2. Bethesda Big Train (25-12) - bye until the semifinals begin on Saturday, July 25
  3. Southern Maryland Senators (23-14) - bye until the wild card round on Friday, July 24
  4. Metro South County Braves (18-20) - bye until the wild card round on Friday, July 24
  5. Gaithersburg Giants (17-21)
  6. Alexandria Aces (16-21)
  7. D.C. Grays (14-24)
  8. Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts (11-26)

 

Playoff Schedule
Play-in Round: Single game. The winner moves on to the Wild Card Round, the loser is eliminated from the playoffs.

  • #7 Grays at #6 Aces 
 
Wild Card Round: Single game. The winner moves on to the League Championship Semifinals, the loser is eliminated from the playoffs.
  • Lowest remaining seed from Play in Round at #3 Senators
  • Highest remaining seed from Play in Round at #4 Braves
 
League Championship Semifinals: Best-of-three series. The higher seed hosts games 1 and 3 and the lower seed hosts game 2, unless otherwise noted. The winners move on to the League Championship Series Finals.

  • Highest remaining seed from Wild Card Round vs. #2 Olney Cropdusters (Best of 3)
 
League Championship Series Finals: Best-of-three series between the two Semifinal series winners. The higher seed hosts games 1 and 3 and the lower seed hosts game 2, unless otherwise noted. The winner is crowned 2026 League Champion.
